French VAD ITANCIA begins 2023 with the acquisition of Italian telecom and security VAD Sintel IT for an undisclosed amount. This acquisition is a perfect illustration of the development strategy pursued by the French group specializing in communication, collaboration, networking and enterprise security technologies, enabling it to :

  • expand its cybersecurity offering,

  • develop its territorial anchoring on the international scene,

  • continue its growth to reach 890 employees and €350 million in revenues by 2025.

"After a technical and logistics services company in 2021, this acquisition is a new step in the development of our Italian subsidiary, enabling us to meet the technological challenges of cybersecurity for our customers", explains Thierry Le Goff, ITANCIA's CEO.

An accelerated growth plan

Founded in 1991, the French company has been growing for more than 30 years as discreetly as efficiently as possible. The Group has 550 employees, 6 international subsidiaries and 220M€ in revenues and has managed to maintain a constant growth (+50% over the last 5 years).

Ambitious objectives

Among the objectives set, ITANCIA wishes to continue its internal and external growth curve to reach 890 employees and 350 M€ in sales by 2025. The acquisition of SINTEL IT, an Italian distributor specializing in cybersecurity and ICT solutions, is part of this ambitious development strategy.

"ITANCIA's structure and financial strength will enable the Cybersecurity Business Unit to grow exponentially. With the integration of SINTEL IT in our organization, we acquire strong competences and recognized brands, which will allow us to support our customers in the face of the new market challenges", underlines Thomas Lammens, Southern Europe Director of the ITANCIA Group.

The SINTEL Italy team is joining the ITANCIA Group, which is strengthening its presence in Italy and Southern Europe and expanding its range of cybersecurity offerings.

"ITANCIA is the ideal partner to continue what we created 15 years ago in the Italian market. Its scale and value and service-oriented approach, fit perfectly with our vision. Our team and our customers will have a great opportunity to grow alongside a solid and ambitious group", says Richard Andreelli, sole shareholder of Sintel IT who, with this sale, completes its retirement from IT distribution to focus on wine-growing, through its vineyard Château la Villatade.

Constant development

In addition to this acquisition, ITANCIA plans to deploy new projects and tools in 2023 designed to meet the economic, technological and ecological challenges facing its customers. The first of these is a brand new B2B e-commerce site: the Itancia Store.

Scheduled for launch next summer, it will enable the Group's customers to order directly online all the new or reconditioned products in the products from the ITANCIA catalog, but also to feed their own web platforms in real time with in real time with enriched content.

This year, ITANCIA also intends to continue and further strengthen its presence with its customers through fair, responsible and comprehensive support, from the choice of new or refurbished technological solutions or refurbished, through to the management of their end-of-life, including their deployment, maintenance and use, thanks to its three through its three daughter brands (see box below).

ITANCIA thus wishes to :

  • pursue its development in the markets for the distribution of technological solutions

  • continue its development in the distribution of technology solutions, particularly in collaboration, unified communications, cybersecurity and data

  • strengthen the development of its decarbonization offers via its Itancia Again division and its large catalogue of catalog of refurbished IT products,

  • develop its offer of customized services through its Itancia Factory division to support companies in each phase of their project companies in each phase of their project: upstream of the use of technological solutions, during the use and after to manage the end of life of solutions and products

  • continue to be the key actor of the circular economy by pursuing its commitment in favor of the environment through concrete actions in line with the Group's historical convictions.
