Dutch etailer and retailer Coolblue has opened its first store in Germany, in the center of Düsseldorf. With this opening, the e-commerce company is further expanding its own infrastructure in Germany.

On an area of 2,600 m², customers can try out more than 1,000 products themselves, come by for advice, repairs and collect online orders. The first German Coolblue store is located in the heart of Düsseldorf, in the Kö-Bogen II shopping centre. This building has the greenest facade in Europe, made of no fewer than 30,000 plants.

One year ago, Coolblue successfully crossed the German border with its own infrastructure. Coolblue Germany now has more than 100 Coolblue employees and the e-commerce company in North Rhine-Westphalia has already considerably expanded its own delivery network, installation service and bicycle network. With the opening of its first store, Coolblue is further expanding its infrastructure in Germany.

Pieter Zwart, CEO at Coolblue, said: “in the coming year we will continue to expand on German soil. In North Rhine-Westphalia we want to further expand our delivery services CoolblueBezorgt and CoolblueFietst. We also want to open more stores there. This way we will make even more German customers very happy.
