Broadliner TD SYNNEX is collaborating with managed security services provider (MSSP) Chorus to give partners access to a 24/7, managed eXtended detection and response (MXDR) service. This UK-based service will enable reseller businesses to offer customers comprehensive protection of their IT environments without having to make upfront investment in building and maintaining their own specialist security practice or recruiting and retaining their own team.
Built on Microsoft 365 Defender and Microsoft Sentinel, this new offering combines the broad cybersecurity expertise, maturity and reach of TD SYNNEX with the specialist focus and service capability of Chorus. The MXDR service is provided on behalf of the partner by Chorus while TD SYNNEX’s security experts support resellers on engagement, go-to-market activity, and initial sales.
Alison Nixon, security BU director UK and Ireland for TD SYNNEX, said: “we’ve been hugely impressed with the advanced cybersecurity capabilities Chorus has now refined and is delivering with its MXDR proposition. That’s taken a huge amount of effort and investment over many years – and it’s not something that can be easily replicated. Through this collaboration, TD SYNNEX can now offer partners who do not have their own in-house skills the ability to create a security practice and provide their customers with a comprehensive digital protection service that will defend them against every kind of modern cyberthreat.”
Matt Child, managing director Advanced Solutions UK and Ireland at TD SYNNEX, said: “we have worked with Chorus for many years and have seen their evolution into a truly market-leading security business. Our approach at TD SYNNEX has always been to continually enhance our line card with incredible services. We believe that with the combination of TD SYNNEX’s own skills as a solutions orchestrator and Chorus’s deep security specialism, we can deliver an outstanding end-to-end security practice that complements any partner who is either beginning the security journey, is already at an advanced level, or anywhere in between.”
As well as being a cybersecurity specialist, UK-based Chorus is also a leading Microsoft partner and member of the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association (MISA) for MSSPs. Chorus has used its advanced understanding of the vendor’s technologies to develop the XDR capability, as Mark Taylor, CTO and founder of the company, explained: “at Chorus, we realised some time ago that there would be a very considerable opportunity for a comprehensive and effective managed XDR service – one that would deliver on all the cybersecurity needs of enterprises and mid-sized organisations. We made positive investments and used our Microsoft skills to build a complete MXDR proposition that would meet the highest levels of expectation, both in terms of the pro-active protection and service levels it provides. We are already delivering that successfully to a number of customers and have worked with TD SYNNEX to partner with other reseller businesses. We’re now ready to work with more partners who have customers that need this higher level of service.”
TD SYNNEX is ready to work with any partner interested in taking the MXDR offer to their customer base. Alison Nixon added: “Chorus is a trusted partner – for TD SYNNEX and for several of our mutual partners. This is a relationship that benefits everyone and a perfect illustration of how we want to work and what we want to achieve by developing ecosystems that bring partners with different skill sets and access to markets together.”
