Italian VAD Attiva Evolution, the value division of the Attiva Group, has announced the acquisition of security VAD Questar for an undisclosed amount. Questar will become a direct part of the business unit. This is an important step for Attiva Evolution, which could already count on the distribution of more than 20 vendors and which from now on will be able to rely on the commercial assets, operating methods and know-how of the Questar team, with more than 25 years of experience in the market. Above all, Questar brings to the distributor's dowry - which until now had focused mainly on emerging brands in the cyber world - also security players that are well known and rooted in the Italian market, such as Kaspersky and Acronis. Thus demonstrating the company's desire to focus strongly on growth and consolidation, eight years after its foundation. An operation that, once again, demonstrates the trend towards consolidation in the Italian distribution world, with operators seeking more strength and scalability.
This is borne out by the words of Lorenzo Zanotto, BU Sales & Marketing Manager of Attiva Evolution, "this new unified team will be able to count on a larger and even better distributed sales force. The reinforcement of Attiva Evolution with Questar will allow us to offer the market not only additional solutions that excellently cover broad areas of cybersecurity, but also improved and even more punctual pre and post-sales technical support, as well as the opportunity to preside over the MSP channel with greater strength and competence."
Satisfaction was also expressed by Giancarlo Mariani, former CEO of Questar, who took over as BU Strategy Manager of Attiva Evolution: "in the union with Attiva Evolution we immediately grasped a great opportunity for expansion. The fusion of mutual knowledge, the aggregation of all customers and prospects will guarantee a real enhancement of the sales opportunities for all vendors involved, which we will manage together."
Giorgio Rossi, Managing Director of Attiva, on the other hand, looks at the opportunities for the partner world: "with the inclusion of Questar in the Attiva Evolution business unit, we are pleased to be able to make a contribution to the development of this division. Attiva's organisation and solidity will be put at the service of a well-established team, which has already achieved excellent results and thanks to which Attiva Evolution will be able to respond effectively to the growing complexity of the VAD and System Integrator world to achieve even more flattering goals."
